Wolfgang Tillmans has launched a new poster campaign supporting cultural and music venues, community projects, independent spaces and publications left in economic straits by the COVID-19 pandemic. Posters designed by over 40 artists, including Marlene Dumas, Tomma Arts, Simon Denny, Christopher Wool, Nicole Eisenman, Mark Leckey and Andreas Gursky, will be freely available to organisations who are then welcome to sell them as part of crowdfunding campaigns and other fundraising initiatives. Tillmans’s foundation, Between Bridges, will direct perspective buyers of a particular poster to the organisation selling that work.
Tillmans has spearheaded a number of poster campaigns in the past, most notably in support of Britain remaining within the EU. Organisations interested in receiving posters should contact Between Bridges.
