The Museum of Everything (MoE), champions since 2009 of the recognition, exhibition and integration of all forms of private, self-taught, unintentional and non-academic art-making around the world (a conscious repositioning of the term Outsider Art) is currently showing over 1,000 artworks at Kunsthal Rotterdam, the latest city on the MoE’s campaigning trail after major exhibitions in London, Paris, Moscow and Venice. Exhibiting artists include the more well-known and celebrated, such as reclusive illustrator Henry Darger (1892–1973), non verbal textile artist Judith Scott (1943-2005) and creator of ‘energy drawings’ Guo Fengyi (1942–2010) alongside lesser known, living artists, among them Abu Bakarr Mansaray, Alevtina Pyzhova, Dan Miller and Gilda Domenica. Accompanying the artworks (installed within an environment created as always for the MoE by award-winning production designer Eve Stewart) will be the exhibition’s own café, cinema, library and shop.
Visitors on 16–17 April can participate in The Weekend of Everything, a programme of additional workshops, lectures, talks, tours and films.
