Out of the Ordinary

An eight-foot-tall aluminium robot from the 1950s, name of Cygan, (£8,000-£12,000), a waxwork model of Japanese Emperor Hirohito (£2,000-£3,000) and a slice of fruit cake from Queen Elizabeth II’s wedding, originally presented to Mr C H Spackman (£800-£12,000), are among the 155 items in the Out of the Ordinary sale, taking place at Christie’s London, South Kensington on 5 September. The exihibits will be on show from 5 August.
