São Paulo Bienal has announced its full list of 81 participating artists from 33 countries for its 32nd edition of the event – Incerteza Viva [Live Uncertainty]. Among the list are Barbara Wagner, Gabriel Abrantes, Heather Phillipson, Sonia Andrade, Pierre Huyghe, Rachel Rose, Jonathan de Andrade and Hito Steyerl.
The bienal has been curated by Jochen Volz as well as Gabi Ngcobo (South Africa), Júlia Rebouças (Brazil), Lars Bang Larsen (Denmark) and Sofía Olascoaga (Mexico). This year’s curatorial concept, Incerteza Viva [Live Uncertainty], reflects on the idea of ‘uncertainty’ and ‘entropy’.
São Paulo Bienal will run from 10 September to 11 December, 2016, at the Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion.
