The Kochi-Muziris Biennale has revealed the preliminary list of participants for its third edition, curated by artist Sudarshan Shetty, and due to run from 12 December 2016 – 29 March 2017. The selection includes poets, musicians, theatre and performance artists as well as visual artists, so as to keep in with the biennale’s objective ‘to broaden and blur the labels and lines attributed to art’ says Shetty.

Founded in 2011 by artists Bose Krishnamachari & Riyas Komu (ranked 86 in the 2015 Power 100), the biennale is one of the largest event of its kind in South Asia. In parallel to the main art exhibition, this edition will feature an ancillary programme of talks, seminars, workshops, film screenings, and music sessions across a range of venues in Fort Kochi and Ernakulam.
