Formerly curator at London’s Cubitt Gallery, and prior to that, at Chisenhale Gallery, Stevens will take up the post in July 2014, as part of the institute’s newly expanded exhibitions and events programming.
Wattis Institute Director Anthony Huberman has said that he was impressed by Stevens’ artist-centered approach and willingness to take risks.
Stevens also currently sits on the advisory board of castillo/corrales in Paris and is a member of the acquisitions panel for the British Council Collection.
