Art Brussels has announced that Katerina Gregos will be stepping down as artistic director of the fair after its 2016 edition, which will run from 22 to 24 April. Appointed in 2012, Gregos has been overseeing the artistic programming of the fair, notably introducing nonprofit institutions and launching a curatorial program in collaboration with the Flanders Art Institute.

An art historian and curator, Gregos recently curated the Belgian Pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale in 2015, as well as the 5th Thessaloniki Biennial. ‘After four very fruitful, enjoyable and creative years at Art Brussels, I feel it is time to move on, to focus on what I love most: working with artists and making exhibitions’, Gregos said in a statement.

9 February 2016.
