The New York art-commissioning organisation Creative Time has announced that Katie Hollander will be stepping down from her role as executive director on 1 July. Hollander joined the organisation nearly ten years ago as deputy director, and was named executive director in February 2016 to succeed longtime director of the organisation Anne Pasternak after the latter’s appointment at the Brooklyn Museum.

Hollander said she felt it was the right time for her to ‘explore new possibilities’. During her tenure, Hollander oversaw numerous commissions, including Duke Riley’s Fly by Night (2016) and Pedro Reyes’s Doomocracy (2016). Following Hollander’s departure, deputy director Alyssa Nitchun will serve as acting director until the organisation’s board of trustees finds a replacement.
