Amsterdam’s Stedelijk Museum has announced that Beatrix Ruf is to be its new Director. Ruf is currently Director of the Kunsthalle Zürich and succeeds Ann Goldstein, who has been Artistic Director at the Stedelijk for the past 4 years. Ruf will jointly lead the Museum with Managing Director Karin van Gilst.
Ruf, no. 7 in last year’s ArtReview Power 100, will begin working with the Stedelijk Museum immediately, ahead of taking up her position fulltime on 1 November 2014.
