Marcel Duchamp Prize shortlisted artists announced

The Association for the International Diffusion of French Art (ADIAF) has announced the list of nominated artists for the Marcel Duchamp Prize 2017. Each year, the prize is awarded to one of four nominated artists who are French or living and working in France, working in the field of visual arts. Organised in partnership with the Centre Pompidou, the prize showcases the artists with an exhibition at the Pompidou in October, and the winning artist receives €35,000. 

The 2017 shortlisted artists are:

Maja Bajevic
Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige
Charlotte Moth
Vittorio Santoro

The jury panel for the 2017 Marcel Duchamp Prize:
Bernard Blisténe (France), Director of the Musée national d’art moderne, Centre Pompidou, Paris
Gilles Fuchs (France), Collector, President of the ADIAF
Carmen Gimenez (United States), Exhibition Curator, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York
Erika Hoffmann (Germany), Collector, Sammlung Hoffmann, Berlin
Mao Jihong (China), Collector, President, Exception of Mixmind and Fangsuo, Guangzhou
Jérôme Sans (France), Artistic Director, Exhibition Curator
Akemi Shiraha (France-Japan), representing the Marcel Duchamp Association for the prize

The prizewinner will be announced by ADIAF on 16 October 2017.
