Winner of Hugo Boss Asia Art Award announced

Eisa Jocson has been announced as the winner of this year’s Hugo Boss Asia Art Award. She will receive a cash prize of RMB 300,000 (approx. £33,400). 

Jocson was selected for her work Corponomy (2019), a four-channel video installation that continues her engagement with gender politics and the commodification of the human body in the Philippines. The work, along with work by finalists Hao Jingban, Hsu Che-Yu and Thao-Nguyên Phan, is on view at the Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai, through 5 January.
