The Ruya Foundation for Contemporary Culture in Iraq have announced that Philippe Van Cauteren will curate the Iraq Pavilion at next year’s Venice Biennale.
Van Cauteren is artistic director of S.M.A.K. Museum for Contemporary Art in Ghent and co-curated the Belgian Pavilion in 2013, when it showed Kreupelhout (Cripplewood) by Berlinde De Bruyckere.
Further details about the Pavilion and the artists involved will be announced next year.
