1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair, which held its first two fairs in Somerset House during Frieze London in 2013 and 2014, will be staging a new fair, described as a ‘pop-up,’ in New York from 15-17 May to coincide with Frieze New York. The New York fair will take place at Pioneer Works: Center for Art and Innovation, the not-for-profit art/science/education organisation located within a nineteenth century factory in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
1:54 NY Forum – a programme of talks and panel discussions will be led by Koyo Kouoh along with 1:54 NY Public Programme, which will offer a wide range of social events.
The third edition of 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair will be held from 15–18 October 2015 in London.
