Bjorn Geldhof, currently deputy artistic director at the Pinchuk Art Centre in Kiev, has been appointed as the artistic and strategic director of Yarat Contemporary Art Space, a non-profit organisation based in Baku, Azerbaijan, The Art Newspaper reports. Now based in Baku, he will combine the two jobs until the end of 2015.
During his time at the Pinchuk Art Centre, Geldhof helped develop the Future Generation Art Prize, established by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation in 2009, and curated the Ukranian pavilion at this year’s Venice Biennale.
