La Biennale de Montréal 2016 announces artist list

Under the title Le Grand Balcon (The Grand Balcony), the 2016 edition of La Biennale de Montréal (BNLMTL 2016), curated by Philippe Pirotte, has announced its initial list of artists and special projects.

New commissions and international co-productions include Hemlock Forest, a new film by New York-based Canadian artist Moyra Davey and Angst 
by German artist Anne Imhof combining a choreography of cryptic gestures, abstract musical composition and sculptural elements and a new photographic installation by Celia Perrin Sidarous.

La Biennale de Montréal runs 19 October 2016 through 15 January 2017.
