Holland’s Mondriaan Fund has announced details of the Dutch Pavilion at 57th Venice Biennale, set to run 13 May–26 November 2017. Cinema Olanda is a collaborative project by Rotterdam-based artist Wendelien van Oldenborgh and Irish curator Lucy Cotter. The site-specific installation, centred around three filmic works, will examine forgotten aspects of modern Dutch history. Oldenborgh’s project takes its cue from the Dutch pavilion itself, designed by renowned modernist architect Gerrit Reitveld in 1953.
