The Baltimore Museum of Art has announced the appointment of Christopher Bedford, who is to be the new director. Following curatorial roles at J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Wexner Center for the Arts, Bedford is currently the director of the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University. He will replace Doreen Bolger, who retired in 2015 after serving as the director for 17 years, and begin his new role on 15 August 2016.
