The executive director and curator of Artists Space, Stefan Kalmár, has announced that the organisation will no longer be located at 38 Greene Street, New York City, a site they have occupied since 1993. Artists Space is taking the opportunity of an early buyout from the building (whose owner is planning a penthouse extension) to ‘move into a new, larger venue in a neighbourhood more appropriate for its activities than today’s SoHo.’ The organisation will continue to run its programme at Artists Space Books & Talks, 55 Walker Street.
The last exhibition at 38 Greene Street is the current Lukas Duwenhögger retrospective which runs through 5 June.
