The National Gallery Singapore, the 64,000 square metre museum dedicated to Singapore and Southeast Asian art from the nineteenth century to the present, will open its doors to the public on 24 November to coincide with Singapore’s 50th year of independence, The Straits Times reports. Visitors will be able to visit the museum and the permanent exhibitions on display in the galleries for free until 6 December.
Drawing from Singapore’s National Collection, works will be displayed in the two refurbished buildings of the City Hall and the former Supreme Court.
