Finalists announced for 2017 Hugo Boss Asia Art Award

Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai, and Hugo Boss have announced the finalists for the third edition of the Hugo Boss Asia Art award: Li Ming (China), Yu Ji (China), Robert Zhao Renhui (Singapore) and Tao Hui (China). The artists will take part in a group exhibition at Rockbund Art Museum (27 October 2017 – 7 January 2018). The award winner will be announced in November and will receive RMB 300,000 (approx. £34,000)

The jury for this year’s award included Ute Meta Bauer, founding director, NTU Centre for Contemporary Art, Singapore;
 Yuko Hasegawa, chief curator, Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, Japan;
 Venus Lau, artistic director, OCT Contemporary Art Terminal (OCAT), Shenzhen, China;
 Adele Tan, curator, National Art Gallery, Singapore;
 Zhang Peili, artist, Hangzhou, China. 



The biannual award celebrates emerging artists working in the field of contemporary art in Greater China and Southeast Asia.
