German-based industrialist Count Christian Duerckheim, who earlier this month bought Tracey Emin’s My Bed at auction, has agreed to lend the work to the Tate for at least ten years, The Art Newspaper reports.

The British Museum’s current exhibition, Germany Divided: Baselitz and his Generation (until 31 August) contains 90 works on paper by significant post-war German artists including  Baselitz, Penck, Polke and Richter, also from Count Duerckheim’s private collection, 34 of which have been gifted to the museum.
