Artist Anne Imhof has been selected to represent Germany at the 2017 Venice Biennale, Artnet reports. Imhof, winner of the Nationalgalerie Prize for Young Art in 2015, was chosen by the ifa institute, who has been organising the German pavilion for Venice Biennale since 1971. Recognised for her performance work, Imhof will be working with Susan Pfeffer who will curate the pavilion. Elke aus dem Moore, head of the art department at ifa, has said: ‘The curatorial concept of Susanne Pfeffer is to look at how man is changing through the current technological and socioeconomic conditions, and how our concept of the body must be rethought.’
