Swiss Institute to open temporary space in New York

The Swiss Institute has announced their temporary move to 102 Franklin Street in Tribeca. The Institute is undergoing a period of transition while waiting to move into a new long-term location in 2017. They will operate their programme under the name Swiss In situ, with a focus on temporary structures – including publishing formats and architectural and social engagement projects. Independent Swiss publishing house Nieves and Innen will present the first of Swiss In situ’s projects, with ‘hundreds of pocket-sized, image-based publications they have commissioned over the past 15 years.’ Nieves and Innen have also invited a group of international artists and to show their work as part of the library and to deliver talks and workshops about their publishing careers.

Swiss In situ opens on 4 August 2016.
