Bernhard Leitner has been announced as the winner of the 2015 Austrian Art Prize (Östereichischer Kunstpreis) in the Video and Media Art category, while Iris Andraschek wins in the Visual Arts category. Awarded every year by the Federal Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture of Austria, the prize honours the career and work of influential Austrian artists. Winners in other categories include Anita Witek (Photography), Hans Scheugl (Film), KI Kürbis Wien (Cultural initiative), Evelyn Schlag (Literature) and Thomas Larcher (Music).
