Daniel Boyd has been awarded the inaugural Young Artist Award at the Melbourne Art Foundation Awards for the Visual Arts, The Australian reports, for which he will receive financial assistance of up to $10,000 towards an international residency. The 33-year-old artist was also the winner of last year’s Bulgari Art Award, which supports contemporary Australian painting, for his work Untitled (2014).
