PinchukArtCentre (based in Kyiv, Ukraine) has announced the 5th edition of the biennial Future Generation Art Prize. The international prize is open to all artists aged 35 or younger and working in any medium. A shortlist of artists will be chosen by a selection committee while an international jury decides on the main prize-winner and special award-winners during the Future Generation Art Prize exhibition at the PinchukArtCentre.

The main prize-winner will receive $100,000 (approx. £71,600) in two parts: a $60,000 cash prize and a $40,000 investment in their practice. In addition to the main prize, $20,000 will be awarded to a maximum of five artists at the discretion of the jury to develop their artistic practice. The shortlist will be announced on 27 August, followed by an exhibition of these works from 1 February – 14 April 2019. The awards will be presented on 6 March 2019, followed by a presentation of the artists’ works at the Venice Biennale.
