Fondazione Prada has announced the appointment of Cristian Valsecchi, who will take up the role of general manager. Valsecchi will supervise the management team as well as the various operational areas of the company’s departments. Prior to taking up his position at the Fondazione Prada, Valsecchi was a former professor of economics for arts and culture at the University of Bergamo, the director of Artissima (2015–18) and general director of Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana (2012-2014) among other senior and consultancy roles. He is currently the secretary general of Fondazione Torino Musei and Secretary General of Associazione dei Musei d’Arte Contemporanea Italiani (AMACI). Valsecchi will start his new position at the Fondazione Prada in May 2018.
