Yun Cheagab named artistic director of the 2016 Busan Biennale

Yun Cheagab, currently director of the How Art Museum in China, has been appointed by Busan Biennale Organizing Committee as the artistic director for the next Busan Biennale, to open in September 2016.

Yun Cheagab graduated from Hongik University in Seoul and studied in China and India. Following his studies, he worked as the co-director of Alternative Space Loop and from 2005 through early 2010, he was the Executive Director of Arario Gallery, which operates spaces in Cheonan, Beijing, Seoul, and New York. In 2011, he was the commissioner for the Korean Pavilion at the Venice Biennale and since 2012, he has served as the director of the How Art Museum located in Wenzhou and Shanghai.
