Art Stage Jakarta has announced that its 2018 edition, scheduled to run in the Indonesian capital in September, has been cancelled. The fair cited a climate of political unrest in the country, as well as the upcoming Asian Games (running in Indonesia this Summer) and the country’s presidential election next April as reasons for the decision. The fair will return to the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City next year, from 2–4 August 2019.
A sister fair to Art Stage Singapore, Art Stage Jakarta was launched in 2011 by Lorenzo Rudolf.
