Art Cologne has rescheduled the dates for their 2017 art fair which will avoid a clash with Berlin Gallery Weekend, The Art Newspaper reports. Originally, the Cologne art fair had planned to open on 28 April 2017 – the same date as Berlin Gallery Weekend – but Art Cologne director Daniel Hug has confirmed the change of date in order to ‘allow international visitors to visit both Art Cologne and Gallery Weekend comfortably in the same week’. Although the change in dates allows visitors to attend both events, there remains an existing concern over galleries’ presences in both cities.
Art Cologne will now run from 25 April – 29 April, and Berlin Gallery Weekend will take place from 28 April – 30 April 2017.
