Kunstverein Munich has announced American-born curator Chris Fitzpatrick as its new director, starting in the new year. Fitzpatrick, who has been the director of the not-for-profit contemporary art centre Objectif Exhibitions in Antwerp, Belgium, since 2012, will succeed Bart van der Heide. In Antwerp Fitzpatrck staged shows by, among others, Nina Beier, Bruce \nConner, Mark Dion, Paul Elliman, Jos de Gruyter & Harald Thys, Joao \nMaria Gusmao & Pedro Paiva, Angie Keefer, Rosalind Nashashibi, Iza \nTarasewicz, and many others. Van der Heide will see out his five year tenure with a solo show by James Richards.
