Laure Prouvost to represent France at 2019 Venice Biennale

Laure Prouvost has been selected by the Institut Francais to represent France at the next Venice Biennale, scheduled to run from 11 May to 24 November 2019.

Born in Lille in 1978, Laure Prouvost lives and works in Antwerp. She was the recipient of the Max Mara Art Prize for Women in 2011 and the Turner Prize in 2013. Prouvost will be the subject of a major solo exhibition, Ring, sing and drink for trespassing, opening at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris on 22 June.
