Forensic Architecture appeal for Grenfell fire footage

Forensic Architecture has launched a project to collect documentary evidence of the Grenfell Tower fire in west London. Headed by Eyal Weizman the research agency, which is based out of Goldsmiths College, counts architects, scholars, artists, filmmakers, software developers, investigative journalists, archaeologists, lawyers and scientists among their number. Collated as a 3D model the amateur documentation is to form a free public resource the group say. Forensic Architecture are known for their analysis of war crimes and human-rights violations through animation and computer models, providing evidence for possible prosecutions.

The fire broke out on 14 June 2017 at the 24-storey Grenfell Tower block of public housing flats. It caused 71 deaths and over 70 injuries.
