The Art Newspaper announced it has appointed Javier Pes as its new editor. Pes, who is currently deputy editor, will be taking over from Jane Morris, who has been in the role since 2008, at the beginning of June. Morris will retain a close relationship with the publication as an editor-at-large, while also working on independent projects, writing, lecturing and research.
Pes previously served as a curator at the Museum of London, and the Reading Museums. He went on to edit Museum Practice magazine for the UK Museums Association before joining The Art Newspaper in 2010.
