Cuban artist and activist (and ArtReview December 2015 cover artist) Tania Bruguera is considering moving to Camberwell for a residency at the South London Gallery this year, The Art Newspaper reports. The residency will be part of the third iteration of the travelling exhibition Under the Same Sun: Art from Latin America Today at the London Gallery, due to open on 13 June (the show, curated by Pablo León de la Barra for the Guggenheim UBS MAP Art Initiative, was first shown at the Guggenheim Museum in New York in 2014, and is currently on at the Museo Júmex in Mexico City).

The exhibition will takeover the usual gallery space, as well as some parts of the Peckham Road Fire Station, donated anonymously to the SLG last September and due to open fully in 2018.

2 February 2016.
