The Royal Institute of British Architects has announced the 37 winners of the 2015 RIBA National Awards. Launched in 1966, the awards are attributed every year to outstanding buildings across the UK regardless of shape, size, or budget; the shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize for the UK’s best building of the year will be selected from these winners and announced on Thursday 16 July.

Winners include a whisky distillery in Scotland, a fishing hut in Hampshire and Manchester’s Whitworth gallery, as well as fourteen London buildings, including Foyles bookshop and the National Theatre.
