Anna Reading wins the Mark Tanner Sculpture Award 2018–19

Anna Reading has been announced as the winner of the 2018–2019 Mark Tanner Sculpture Award. She will receive £8,000 towards the production of new work over the coming year, and a solo exhibition at London’s non-profit Standpoint Gallery in 2019. Established in 2001 and named after British Sculptor Mark Tanner, the Award is given every year to a sculptor residing in the UK, whose work ‘demonstrates a commitment to process and materials’.

Based in London, Reading works across sculpture, animation and installation. She was recently an artist-in-residence at Academy for Visual Arts, Hong Kong as well as at Non-Space, Aarhus, Denmark. Reading was also selected as one of Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2018 artist.
