London-based French artist Marguerite Humeau has been announced as the recipient of the 10th Zürich Art Prize. The £65,000-prize is awarded every year by the Zürich Insurance Group Ltd and Museum Haus Konstruktiv towards an exhibition at the latter institution, and, as of this year, comes with an additional £16,000 to celebrate the award’s ten-year anniversary.
Humeau’s recently received solo shows at Palais de Tokyo in Paris and Nottingham Contemporary, and participated in the 2016 Seoul Biennale and Manifesta 11 in Zurich. Forthcoming exhibitions on High Line, New York, and at Schinkel Pavillon, Berlin, are scheduled for 2017.
