German video artists Henning Fehr and Philipp Rühr are the winners of the second edition of the BMW Art Journey, a collaborative project with Art Basel. Their project, which explores today’s global linkages through parallels between Jamaican Dub and Rem Koolhaas’s CCTV Tower in Beijing, will involve them travelling to Jamaica, China, North America, and Europe, where they will interview dub musicians, follow them on tour and document their studio work, as well as researching the architecture of the tower. Fehr and Rühr were selected from a shortlist of three artists, including Fritzia Irizar and Dan Bayles, whose works were exhibited in the Positions sector at Art Basel’s show in Miami Beach in December 2015.
