Ahead of its 10th edition (12-15 November 2015), the Turkish art fair Contemporary Istanbul has appointed curator, art critic, and historian, Marc-Olivier Wahler, as its Artistic Advisor. Wahler is currently the founder and director of Chalet Society, an exhibition space in Paris. In 1995 he cofounded and directed CAN Centre d’art Neuchâtel, Switzerland, until 2000, before taking over directorship at the Swiss Institute in New York, curating exhibitions of Urs Fischer, Takashi Murakami, Jim Shaw, and Aleksandra Mir. Most recently, Wahler was the director the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, from 2006 to 2012, where he founded Palais/Magazine.
