Beatrice Gibson and Mathieu Kleyebe Abonnenc receive 2015 Baloise Art Prize

British artist Beatrice Gibson and French artist Mathieu Kleyebe Abonnenc are the recipients of the the 17th Baloise Art Prize. Announced during Art Basel, the prize is awarded every year to two young artists from the fair’s ‘Statements‘ section, who each receive CHF 30,000 (approx. £20,000); the prize also include the acquisition by Baloise of a group of their works, which are then donated to the MMK, Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt am Main and the MUDAM, Luxembourg. 

Winners of previous editions include Saskia Olde WolbersHaegue YangDuncan CampbellAlejandro Cesarco, and Simon Denny.
