Los Angeles-based gallery Freedman Fitzpatrick has announced the opening of a new space in Paris, at 8 rue Saint-Bon in the Marais neighbourhood. The gallery owners, Alex Freedman and Robbie Fitzpatrick, told Artnews they were opening in Paris for the same reason the gallery first opened in LA in 2013: ‘A lot of artists are moving there from all over. It’s manifesting itself as a dynamic city that has a lot of possibility to explore, on top of already being an incredibly important city for culture, historically.’

The gallery will open on 8 February with a show of paintings by Matthew Lutz-Kinoy, who himself recently moved there from Los Angeles.
