Former Blouin Media executives sue

Art + Auction’s former publisher, Catherine Shanley, and associate publisher, Wendy Buckley, have filed suit in Manhattan Supreme Court over claims that Blouin Media owes Shanley $137,431.32 and Buckley $90,025.65, for unpaid commissions, the New York Post has reported.

When the individuals complained about missing pay cheques and commission payments, their positions were terminated, it is alleged. A Blouin spokesperson has stated that the commissions involved were disputed.

The Post goes on to report that, in 2013, according to legal papers, Shanley and Buckley were the top-billing executives at the company. Shanley and Buckley are among a number of former staffers involved in a new digital publication, Artnet News.
