Rio’s Casa Daros cultural centre is to close in December 2015, less than three years after it opened, The Rio Times reports. The centre, located in the neighbourhood of Botafogo, was set up to display contemporary Latin American art from the Swiss-based Daros Latinamerica collection.
Daros Latinamerica owner, Ruth Schmidheiny, has reportedly stated that Casa Daros would be re-dedicated to new purposes and that the organisation would be focusing its public activities on a more international front.
