Art Basel have announced that Noah Horowitz has been appointed Director Americas. Based in the US, he will direct Art Basel’s Miami Beach edition, while joining the fair’s executive committee, which includes Patrick Foret, Adeline Ooi, and Marco Fazzone, as well as director Marc Spiegler.
Noah Horowitz has been executive director of the Armory Show in New York since 2011, and before that of the online VIP fair. With a Ph.D. in art history from the Courtauld Institute of Art, Horowitz has published several books including Art of the Deal: Contemporary Art in a Global Financial Market (Princeton University Press, 2011) and has contributed to publications including The New York Times, Texte zur Kunst and The Art Newspaper.
