Taipei Fine Arts Museum appoints new Director

The Taipei Fine Arts Museum announced the appointment of professor, curator and critic Ping Li as director of the museum during an official ceremony.

As director of the 32-year-old museum, Ling’s responsibilities will also include the multiple projects the museum has been taking on recently, such as the organisation of the Taipei Biennale and the Taiwan Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.

Ping Lin is a writer, curator and is currently a professor for the Department of Fine Arts at Tunghai University. She was a jury member for Taiwan Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (art/architecture), Taipei Fine Arts Award, Pulima Arts Award, Austronesian International Arts Award, and Taoyuan Arts Creation Award.
