The artist duo Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset have been appointed as the curators of the 15th edition of the Istanbul Biennial (16 September – 12 November 2017). The artist pair, who have taken part in three previous editions, announced that their curatorial theme for the 2017 bienniel will focus on the act of collaboration in the context of the current global geo-political situation. The conceptual framework will be announced later this year.
