Ukrainian artist Boris Mikhailov has been announced as the recipient of the 2015 Goslar Kaiserring Award.
Based between Berlin and Ukraine, Boris Mikhailov is recognised as a prominent photographer and chronicler of Soviet and post-Soviet society. He has been awarded many photography awards including the 2012 Spectrum International Prize for photography and the 2000 Hasselblad Foundation International Award, and represented Ukraine at the 2007 Venice Biennale. Mikhailov has exhibited internationally, including at the Sprengel Museum, Hannover, Museum of Modern Art, New York, Tate Modern and Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna.
