Ahead of the opening of Manifesta 11 in Zurich next June, curated by artist Christian Jankowski, the Manifesta team has announced that its 2018 edition will be hosted by the city of Palermo in Italy.
Director of Manifesta Hedwig Fijen said hosting the biennial in Palermo will bring to the fore “the city’s migration problems [as] symbolic of the far wider crisis situation which the whole of Europe is facing right now.”
