The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation have appointed curator Hou Hanru as consulting curator and Xiaoyu Weng as associate curator of Chinese Art, both to work with The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Chinese Art Initiative, which supports the Guggenheim in commissioning major works from artists or groups born in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Macao to be shown in exhibitions at the Guggenheim in New York.

They will join the team working on the next exhibition, a thematic group show of newly commissioned works, which will open at the Guggenheim in November 2016.
